My mind won’t let me rest. Seconds after closing my eyes I have to open them again due to the revolution of thoughts in my head… and when I’m finally exhausted enough to able to sleep, I dream… I dream all the time, thus waking up feeling like I didn’t rest at all.
I’m down to 4-6 hours to sleep daily, and less than 2 hours on the worst nights. I tried sleeping days, but I get just as much or even less rest.
I never slept much to begin with, being a light sleeper and having a tendency to sleep days and haunt at nights, but my resistance is giving in, my body is giving up.
I’ve been awake for nearly 48 hours now… I’ll try anything as long as it has nothing to do with pills or drugs.
Is there a safe natural way to relax enough to be able to rest? A way to suppress my dreams?

My friend told me I might have a sleeping disorder, were you like beat yourself in your sleep.
I always wake up with bruises, which I have no idea where they come from.
Is there anything such as this?

I know I read about this somewhere, but I need to know the name or where I can find out about it.
Apparently, a normal human takes about 30 minutes to begin dreaming, and according to the sleep disorder, the person will begin dreaming immediatly, within minutes.
Can anyone recall the name?

As opposed to insomnia? I thought it was ME but I don’t think that’s right. I know there IS an illness, but I don’t know the name. When you sleep for long periods of time because you need to, you need more rest than other people and often feel exhausted?

I’m not referring to insomnia…however, I do believe this might be under the classification of a sleeping disorder. Anyway, the person cannot go to sleep. There is something physically preventing them from sleeping, and they never sleep. I know that it eventually leads to death, and that it’s rare. Forgive me if my details are a bit sketchy or not accurate; however, I don’t remember much about it, I just remember discussing it in one of my classes about a year or so ago. I put this in the Psychology section, because I learned about it in a Psychology class. Anyone know what i’m talking about, and could possibly give me the clinical name for it, so that I could read more about it? Thanks!
