It only happens when i have afternoon naps. I hear everything see everything, i can see my eye lids fluttering cause i cant fully open them, but i cant move, speak or scream for the life of me. This has been happening to me for 5 years now. It used to happen w/ hallucinatins where i would see things but now im pretty much use to them and just cant move. However recently iv been having them and im scared again because it feels like im trying to snore, yes snore, but cant or it feels like im snoring loudly . In my sleep im trying to snore loudly so my brother wakes me (im usually on the couch for naps) up but he says im not making a sound. Any expert or some one with experience on this sleep disorder pls give me advice. what can i do?could it be an actual medical problem? Im scared im not breathing and thats why it feels like im snoring but im actually not?

A bit about myself:
I am going into a research/medicine related field of bioinformatics, so it will be easy for me to switch into biomed/biochem/etc if I need a different undergrad degree.
I’m not sure if I would rather be a sleep “scientist” or a “doctor”, but they are both as equally attractive to me. I would like to study how sleep works on the microscopic level, and possible develop drugs for treating (neurological) sleep disorders.
I am fascinated by dreaming and consciousness studies, and would like to study how (and why) dreaming and consciousness occurs.
Also, I would like to know if an undergrad degree in Bioinformatics would be acceptable for graduate studies in neuroscience/med school? If not, what routes would I have to take?
Thanks.

I remember wen I was 12 that I felt to sleep pretty tired after a hard day because we spent almost 5 hours at the local pool, swimming and playing for long time
when I was sleeping during the sleep i feel the need to go to pee, so I go to the bathroom and then go to sleep again, that night I went to to the bathroom at least 4 times but OMG I wake up and realize that I wet the bed, i think that that night i never went to the bath
-
But I remember those visits to the bath was very real

I am 22, i work 40 hours a week, and i’m also taking 3 courses this semester. I have about 4-6 hours of asleep every night. Will i be developing any sleeping disorders if i have this much sleep a night. How many hours of sleep should i get for my age? What is healthy?
