Question by john9898: I am having weird sleeping problems? It’s not sleep apnea so what is it?
k so basically this has been going on for about 2 and a half years. When i sleep i wake up but its only mentally, i cant physically move at all. also my heart rate beats faster than normal. It’s not a dream or anything. It’s just odd to me and it seems to happen when my head isn’t supported and my head arched back. This im pretty sure isnt deadly at all but its kinda getting on my nerves because it happens maybe twice every week. Please help!

My guess is you might still be in a deep form of sleep while being immobile. This could be one of two things:
1. You are sleepwalking, without the walking part.
2. You are astral traveling.
For more information on astral travel, go to :

As a footnote, if you ARE in astral travel state, you can have the most fun in the world. Read articles to find out why though.

Question by Book Worm: My husband is making really weird noises at night?
Occasionally I wake up to my husband making very strange, terrifying noises. I wouldn’t say they were wheezing sounds, but when he breathes in its loud and sounds painful. The first time I heard it I thought it was a cat or a baby crying. I wake him up every time, and he just apologizes and goes back to sleep. He isn’t short of breath, and doesn’t seem to really have any symptoms of Sleep Apnea. What could it be? (He doesn’t have asthma, but he does get allergies sometimes).

Your husband would wake up himself if it were asthma symptoms. There are different levels of sleep apnea as well as other sleep disorders. You might him do a sleep study to get an official diagnosis.

Question by evirated12345: Weird sleep disorder problem?
Sometimes, when I try to sleep, I may spend hours and hours before finally transitioning into the “dreamland”. The trouble is that while at this point I do in fact feel sleepy and exhausted (with heavy eyes, etc), I seem to get extremely nervous when I finally retire to bed. My nervousness seems to revolve around a combination of a weird, persistent anxiety of not being able to sleep along with an odd fear of the very process of transtitioning into sleep. While lying down I get obsessed with analyzing my state of consciousness, and when I finally sense that I am about to dream, I get an involuntary perception of having a “sting” of adrenaline rush in my chest, which in turn raise my anxiety levels and pulse. Eventually I get scared out of bed, and the whole cycle repeats itself several times lasting for hours. What’s worse, this happens most often during holidays, when I am supposed to be able to sleep as much as I please. Did anyone ever experienced something similar, is this serious?

You need to get in training. So, try these exercises. Run down an escalator that is going up. Or fill a leaky bucket. That will give you a taste of what’s in store. Not that you need one. You can already tell how frustrating a particular situation is becoming. Here’s how to avoid exasperation. Quit while you are ahead. And if you can’t do that – quit while you are behind. Just quit. If something is supposed to happen, it will. It is one thing to give fate a gentle nudge and another to drag it in a direction it does not want to go.

I have a problem where I get so anxious about the next day and about the things that I will be doing to the point where my heart rate jumps and I cannot fall asleep for hours. It’s as if I’m extremely nervous about it.
It used to be only on the nights before I have a big soccer game, but now it’s almost every night. It’s gotten so bad these days that I barely had any sleep last night and couldn’t fall asleep the whole day today.
Is there a name for this disorder? In your best opinion, what should someone with this issue do?
I appreciate your answers

Well first off thank you sooo much to anyone who reads this!
Ok so here are some of the weird things i do in my sleep…
-grind my teeth and have lots of dreams that my permanent teeth are lose or falling out
-sometimes i can’t remember if something actually happened or if it was just a dream
-i seem to have many many dreams and they are all extremely random
-i find myself suddenly yelling out random phrases in my sleep and sometimes talking to people in my dreams
-i move around a lot while sleeping and sometimes sleep on my stomach with my feet up in the air (my mom told me i did this)
-it sometimes takes me a while to fall asleep and sometimes i don’t know if i am awake or dreaming that i am awake
-and during the day i often feel fatigued
maybe i am just a strange sleeper but it seems a bit more serious
anyone know why i do these things or if i may have a sleep disorder and if so what kind?
