Sleep Apnea Treatment

Question by moondrop000: Sleep Apnea-has anyone had their deviated septum fixed or their turbinates trimmed?
Has it helped your sleep apnea? Has it helped post-nasal drip or throat problems? Was it worth it?

Yes, i’ve had both done about a month ago. although i didn’t have apnea, I did have PND and throat problems. I also had problems w/ breathing through my nose. I feel as if i can breathe much better now, the PND is better, as is my throat. I must tell you though, there is alot of pain for the first 24 hrs. after the oper. if they use( packing ) inside the nostrils. Ask your Dr. beforehand!Once the packing is removed the following day you’ll feel about 80% better. Good Luck!
