Throughout my life and even nowdays, but especially when I was 8-14, I have sleep paralysis but often times when I get this, I also cannot breathe and It is not until I panic that I wake up. I also note that at about age 19 when I began regularly using marijuana, the occurance, or at least realization, of sleep paralysis and not being able to breath while waking up has dramatically ceased and is very rare now.

He wakes up sometimes until four o’clock in the morning because it is a currency broker and studies, graphs and dosage of trade with other markets at this time, because different countries have different starting points. , it is a sleep disorder. You can try to sleep in different rooms to get used to it not by myself at night, but I guess it’s an emotional thing where you can feel safe when he’s there with you. I doubt your partner will change their habits and can use to speak with a consultant to see what I do sleep better. Lack of sleep can give you many problems, especially if it is a chronic problem.

Sleep apnea – doctor recommends having part of the soft palate removed – has any one had this done? Results?

My husband went to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor to discuss options to improve his quality of sleep and lessen his snoring. The doctor wants to perform a tonsillectomy, re-set his deviated septum, and surgically trim his soft palate. We’ve got a second opinion scheduled for next week, but my husband is understandably nervous. Has any one else had this procedure performed? Were the results what you had hoped for? Was recovery difficult?

I have used the machine for about a week, but can not stay asleep with it on for very long? How long does it take to adjust to these things. I am determined to use it.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 3 years ago out of the clear blue sky. I was 38 years old and never had any major health problems. From what I read it is hereditary but no one in my family has this. I hear it could lead to stroke, heart attack, etc. How in the world could such a disease just come out of the clear blue sky!!!! I am totally confused and need to know how to CURE this disease!!!!!!!!!

My husband has sleep apnea and he just will not wear the CPAP mask. Over the past couple of weeks he has begun waking up during the night because he is vomitting.
I am wondering if this is related to the sleep apnea, maybe the vomitting is caused from the loss of breathing? I know he stops breathing during the night because I hear him gasping for breath.
Just wondering if I should call is PCP or his specialist for this one.

I had surgery on my sinuses to correct sleep apnea. I felt much better at first but soon i started feeling tired all over again. My doctor says that can sometimes happen – that the surgery is sucessfull at first but then it becomes obvious that it didnt solve the problem. Now i will have to wear one of thosse CPAP machines, and also my doctor thinks that i also have a circadian rythm disorder – so i have 2 sleep disorders. Ack!
