Question by ♥sPuNkY gIrL♥: I’m 15, and have signs of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome!?
I am freaking out, and crying too because you can not bear children, I have the irregular periods [sometimes they for a week but only for half of each day] and i have the acne [runs in family though] and sleep apnea because i sometimes just quit breathing when i am trying to go to sleep….and i do got all the increased hair on me but its not on the neck. and i used to have depression. i am pretty tiny though.

do u think i can have it?!

Not all women with PCOS share the same symptoms. These are some of the symptoms of PCOS:
* infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding
* infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating
* increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes—a condition called hirsutism (HER-suh-tiz-um)
* ovarian cysts
* acne, oily skin, or dandruff
* weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist
* insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes
* high cholesterol
* high blood pressure
* male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
* patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs
* skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area
* pelvic pain
* anxiety or depression due to appearance and/or infertility
* sleep apnea—excessive snoring and times when breathing stops while asleep
please help i am totally bummed out

i was finally diagnosed with PCOS at age 18 but another doc told me i might have it at age 16 but never checked. so when i went in for a check up another Doc took some blood and said i had it. i had… ALOT of the symptoms and i was also obese… i’m like 40lbs lighter now and my symptoms have decreased dramtically…

but if ur thin then u might just be freaking urself out.

how did u hear about it…? cuz i’m sure u could look up ANY disease and have atleast a few of the symptoms without having the actual “sickness”

Question by bigdcommingtoyou: what are the signs and symptoms of sleep apnea?

Best answer:

Answer by bigbluesky2006
The symptoms may include….

Snoring on a regular basis
Your snoring causes you or your sleeping partner to wake up
You sometines wake up suddenly gasping or choking for air
You experience excessive sleepiness during the day
You often have trouble staying awake even when occupied
You experience headaches, sore throat in the mornings

If you think you have sleep apnea it is important to see your doctor as soon as possible as it can be a life threatening condition over a period of time.

Tossing and turning so much their bedding is flung all over, bed wetting as well, talking in their sleep and waking or getting up several times in the night. A child may have one or all the symptoms of a sleep disorder. Not wanting to go to bed is another.

Let me first say that I am not a lazy person….but I can sleep unlimited amount of time and still be tired. I sleep through my alarm clock and don’t get up on time to go to class (college)…it’s caused problems between my husband and I because I sleep too late on the weekends, etc. My sleeping habits, problem…whatever you call it has caused distress in my life in more ways than one. And I have tried to fix it, and tell myself…damnit, you’re getting up at __ in the morning, and I never can seem to do it…I just keep hitting the snooze, telling myself that I’ll get up in 10 more min, and next thing I know it’s 4 hours later. Please help!
