Question by Sherry: Why would an evil entity want to give false alarms about impending deaths of three people ?
A close friend of mine claims an aneurysm was discovered on an X-ray in 1999 after a car wreck. He is 65 years old. He has not had surgery or treatment for it. If this is true, how is it that it hasn’t disected. I had a cousin half his age (32 years old) who died immediately from an anuerysm. My friend also had gotten “messages from God” in the past that he was going to pass away in a certain month, which didn’t happen. He says his being here after that are “extensions from God”. He also told me the Lord was going to take me home to Heaven by age 47 (now I’m 48). Aslo, he told me that God was going to bring judgment on a handy man in March 2009 that had been stealing and threatening him, which did not happen either.
He used to call me on the telephone every night and we talked for about three to four hours (not always about my church) and I was getting very annoyed.
He also has had for many years:
Congestive heart failure
Severe asthma
Cellulitis of the legs
Sleep apnea
Obesity (well over 300 pounds)
Given all these conditions at once, how has he survived for so long unless it’s for the reason I stated? Since 2002 he had kept telling me his time was “short” until two years ago. He has stopped telling me that because he knows I won’t believe him anymore. Am I wrong in being skeptical about his sicknesses and thinking he is either a hypochondriac or being deceived by an evil spirit.

Answer by Sgt. Sarcasm He is definitely hypochondriac. It’s a mental illness of a sorts. He is not being deceived by an evil spirit. He is just trying to get attention with these so called “messages from god”. Either that or he is insane.

Answer by mojo52 Who are you trying to convince of your problems? Your doctors or people that don’t care or want to hear about your problems? You can help your condition immensely by shedding some pounds that directly effect conditions like GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), CHF (congestive heart failure), sleep apnea (obesity effects this as well with breathing problems) and your high blood pressure. I don’t believe it would help the coronary artery disease, brain tumor or some other problems you don’t mention but I’m surprised you didn’t list diabetes as well. Exercise in moderation to start and watch what you eat for just one month and I’m sure you’ll see a difference. Don’t worry about what other people don’t believe and work on yourself. Put YOU first and everyone else second. I think you’ll be surprised at the end of a month if you’ll just try it. Good luck to you.

Question by bridget Jones: About SLEEP APNEA……Do you think many people know about this disease/illness?
Do you think snoring and sleeping through the day is the most common syptom to be able to tell if you know someone who may have it?
Do you try to encourage others who you may think might have it, to see a doctor to do a test?
Best answer:
Answer by Lorraine H I think people have some awareness of it, and I have encouraged people to look into it. Being chronically tired and loud, heavy breathing/snoring are symptoms.

Question by Foo: I need to hear from people with sleep apnea? Can’t breathe?
I keep waking up “gasping” for air. It’s like someone has been suffocating me. It happens a lot after a night of drinking. I am 30 and have been told this might be sleep apnea.
It really feels like I am dying sometimes. I called a local sleep disorder clinic in my area and they said they need my primary doctors permission to do any testing. Is this what sleep apnea is like? Thanks
It still happens after a night of not drinking. I don’t drink every day, I work 12 hour midnight shifts at a hospital and it’s messing with my job since I keep waking up frequently.

Answer by The mom Actually, no, it’s not what sleep apnea is like. Most people with the problem don’t even realize it, although they are often told by bed partners that they sleep like chain saws. They usually feel pretty sleep deprived, tired all the time, and sometimes will fall asleep while doing other things. It sounds more like you are experiencing breathing problems due to an over-consumption of alcohol, which is after all an anesthetic. To find out if you actually have sleep apnea, you would first need to see your regular doctor. The doctor refers you to a sleep clinic, where you spend the night being monitored while you sleep. You generally get the results the next day or so. If you do actually have sleep apnea, they will prescribe a CPap machine to wear at night, to prevent you from stopping breathing. In your case though, I think you’d have better luck if you just dialed back on the alcohol some. A CPap won’t help you breath if you are simply too anesthetized to do it on your own. That’s the job of a respirator. They also won’t do a sleep study after you’ve been drinking, and you evidently don’t have the problem otherwise. As the evaluation for sleep apnea will run you near the $ 4000 mark, it might be cheaper for you to consider simply going easier on the drinks.
