Question by RandomGirl: I am writing an essay. I need help ending my 2nd paragraph? PLEASE!?
I need help with my language essay about my birth.
Here it is:
The day I was born and the days that followed it were very eventful. My mom arrived at the hospital at 7 in the morning. My due date was November 29th, but I was planned to be born on November 21st to avoid my birthday ever falling on Thanksgiving. After 13 hours and 53 minutes of labor, I was welcomed into the world at 8:53 pm. I weighed 6lbs 14oz, was 21”, and had strawberry-blond hair. My parents were very excited to have their second child. Weeks after I was born, I stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital. After many tests, it was determined I had sleep apnea. I was then put on a breathing machine for 6 months. My parents were very scared but were hopeful that all would work out. __________________________________________________________________________(conclusion)
That’s the second paragraph in my essay, duhhh.

Question by katie b: One year old may have Sleep Apnea? I need advice…?
My son is one and a half years old. He s a healthy boy, besides the fat that he was a bad virus right now that is causing him so much mucus, and even nose bleeds from his nose being clogged. Also, he is coughing. I took him to the Dr’s today, and the doc did a strip test on his throat, and said he needs no antibiotics. As I sit next to him right now as he sleeps, watching him snore is scary. He stops breathing in his sleep! Then theres times where I can see his little belly going in and out as if he “trying” to take in a breath, but theres no sounds/snore coming out of his mouth or nose. It seems like there is something blocking his airway. Now, I have noticed these symptoms before, but not this noticiable. Any words of wisdom, support, or advice? Thanks…
Im a scared first time mom.

I would seek a second doctor’s opinion. And if they tell you the same thing, you could always seek advice from a Sleep therapist or Sleep Rehabilitation center. Sleep Apnea is nothing to brush off, especially with a child. I would ask as many health professionals needed until you get an answer that you feel comfortable with.

Question by : what is sleep apnea i need to know?

To breathe your muscles in your throat have to tense. In sleep apnea the muscles get too relaxed and your breathing slows or stops. People don’t just stop breathing and die, but they may get poor quality sleep or wake up and go back to sleep a lot. Some people with sleep apnea sleep with these little masks over their face, it’s something you would get from your doctor. No you wouldn’t need someone to watch you but you should speak with your doctor because everyone’s case is different. I’m soon having a sleep study done to see if I have it.

I was directed to a surgeon by my family doctor and after the first visit we set up an appointment to get them removed. Although I ended up waiting 2 months they could have got me in within a week 2 at the most. Best of luck.
