The home cpap machines are really very quiet and nice, there are all sorts of new masks etc, the whole experience is not as scarey as you may fear.

What do you think? Answer below!

Question by Vidableek: Do I have a sleep disorder, or at least insomnia?
My whole sleep schedule has never been “normal” since the beginning of high school(I’m almost 19 now). I don’t necessarily feel like I need to stay up longer than 16-18 hours, I simply CAN NOT go to sleep before midnight. Even when I have things to do that require getting up earlier than usual after staying up until 4AM, I do feel tired but I just don’t want to go to sleep. Or my mind has sleep as very low-priority, and it doesn’t seem very important. I guess the best way to explain it is I subconsciously want to be up at night, and I can’t help it.

The reason I want to fix it is because I’m really sick of waking up past noon. At this point, even waking up at 10 every day would be good. And I’m going to be working soon and I’ll probably need to wake up at 7 or 8.

Thanks
I hardly drink caffeine, not by choice, we just don’t have any in the house very often. In fact, I hardly drink soda, too. I do eat, no matter what hour it is. And while I’m up, not feeling tired, I watch T.V. and play video games.

Your body (technically brain) has an internal clock. You can train your body to sleep for a certain number of hours under certain conditions. Try turning off all lights, TV’s, or other distractions before sleep. Maybe even set your alarm for when you should go to bed instead of when to wake up. If none of these methods work, maybe try sleeping pills. But remember, sleeping pills aren’t for PERMANENT use, they are temporary. If used for a prolonged period of time, they lose their effect.
