what other health issues that are like sleep apnea?

Dr. says I may have sleep apnea. But I’m not overweight or even heavy; I don’t snore or drink alcohol or smoke or anything like that. But the second I lay dow, my breathing gets a little-just a little hard and when I’m aut to fall asleep, I stop breathing. I had asthma when Iwas a lot younger but those symptoms don’t resemble asthma either. What could be wrong?

my wife is on a C-PAP machine and 2 liters of O2 but she still stops breathing,i lisens to her breathing ever night, i don’t get much sleep.How is Sleep Apnea treated?
I assume she has had a sleep study done on her. if the doctor recommended c-pap or what I use bi-pap, doesn’t do the trick, you should ask if surgery is an option.
can’t have surgery? and she is due for her next sleep study.last one 3 years ago.

Will a cpap machine improve the health of someone with sleep apnea?

I have sleep apnea and am scheduled to pick up a cpap machine this week. I found them to be uncomfortable when I spent the night at the sleep clinic but I’m going to give it a try. My sleep apnea is moderate to severe so I’ve got to try something to improve my condition. I’ve heard several people say they hadn’t slept so well in years after going on the cpap. Can anyone out there give me a review? If they are bothersome at first can you eventually get used to them?

Is it possible to get individual health insurance in Arkansas if you have sleep apnea?

I have sleep apnea which is well controlled through the use of a CPAP machine, but I was turned down for health insurance by Blue Cross Blue Shield because of it. I recently left a job through which I had health insurance and am now self employed and need to find an individual policy for myself.

Sleep apnea disorder has been determined having close associations with several health problems including heart attack,diabetes,and many more.Researches have established such linkages with evidences.But there is no such conclusive list of diseases and disoarders that are linked to the sleep apnea.In other words, how many diseases and disorders sleep apnea could lead to?

Yes.. I;ve heard of apnea monitors but which brand?
I get worried when I hear my father snoring then he doesn’t breathe for 10 seconds then he takes a deep breath in

Went to a sleep apnea test. What else can Physicians tell about such a test. I was hocked up to about 36 different electro cables.

I Think I May Have A Sleeping Disorder/Problem Because I Never Can Fall Asleep. I Have Try Sleeping Medicine And None Work. They Just Seem To Keep Me Up. During The Day I Get Very Sleep But Cant Fell Asleep And At Night I Feel Sleepy But I Am Wide Awake. When I Do Get To Fell Asleep, It Like 5 or 6 In The Morning. Then Im Turning Around Waking Up Round 9 or 10am & Cant Go Back To Sleep. I Remember Bout A Week Ago I Fell Asleep And Was Sleep For Almost 14 Hours. That Never Happen Again. I Was Wondering Should I Go See My Regular Doctor First or Go To A Doctor That Specialized In Sleep.

What Can I Do If My Insurance Company Is Rescinding My Past Health Insurance Coverage?

When I sent in my application for my health insurance, I forgot to note that I have obstructive sleep apnea. Stupid mistake, but I hadn’t had insurance since I was 20 years old and paid of my OSA treatments out of pocket nearly two years ago. I had an expensive hospital bill in September for a completely unrelated illness. When my insurer pulled my medical history, they saw the OSA and sent a letter with reimbursement for premiums and said that my coverage was null and void. I feel that they should cover the bill since the illness was unrelated.

Orthogonathic Surgery: How Do I Get My Health Insurance To Pay For It?

My orthodontist and dentist feel that I need to get Othorgonathic surgery to fix my underbite. They want me to to get surgery to my upper and lower jaws. To be honest I agree with them. I cant close my mouth comfortably along with the fact that I grind my teeth at night and I am already developing minor TMJ issues. However it says this in the exlusions & limitations section of my benefits information
Upper and Lower jaw bone surgery except as required for the direct treatment of accute traumatic injury or cancer Orthogonathic surgery, jaw alignment and treatment for the tempromandibular joint except atreatment of obstructive sleep apnea
Services for the evaluation and treatment of tempromandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) whether the services are considered to be medical or dental in nature.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Were you able to successfully appeal? if so how? By the way I’m over 19.
