Question by will a: What the hell is happening to mee!?
Ever since last night, i couldn’t get to sleep because every time i got to sleep, i wake up gasping for air!
I’ve researched and the closest thing i could find was ’sleep apnea’
But the strange thing is, i don’t have any of the symptoms of sleep apnea, like high blood pressure, waking up with a sore or dry throat, poor memory and concentration, headaches etc
So is there a solution? and is it Sleep Apnea?

Do you feel any pain in your sternum or side?
Cause last November, I woke up, unable to breathe with this horrible pain in my chest.
After several episodes of this, I went to the hospital and after many tests and whatnot, they found out it was my gall bladder. So I had it removed.

Question by rose89: Can sleep apnea be caused by stress? I am 23 years old and average weight so why is this happening to me..help
I have been really stressed out lately so I am wondering if that is why I am having sleep apnea symptoms. I always heard it was in older people who were over weight and usually men but that is not me at all. Can anyone help me out and explain why this could be happening to me?
I haven’t seen a doctor yet I just stop breathing in my sleep and wake up gasping for air. I do have chronic tonsillitis could that be blocking the air way if I’m breathing through my mouth at night

You don’t always have to be a man or overweight. See your doctor.

I sometimes lie semi-conscious with the knowledge that I am struggling to breath. I often focus on sitting up or simply gasping for air but it’s like a dream where it just doesn’t happen. Is this a form of sleep apnea or is this something different?
