I am aware of the C-PAP and the operation for uvula reduction but are there any others out there? I Googled it and really came up with only these two or variations thereof.
I am working on loosing 40 pounds right now. I had a rather severe injury that laid me up and I gained weight but am on the down swing, thanks all, this helped!

If you are over-weight, dieting may help.

A friend of mine has suffered for years with sleep apnea. He has followed all the medical advice for solving the problem.
From loosing weight to using c-pap etc.

Are there any other ideas anyone has that has worked for them that I can pass on to him.
???

Please help!
My friend is down to under 150 lbs. So there is no obesity issue for him.

Also he is very current on doctor visits due to other health related issues. Therefore, further doctor visits will not help.

He is/was just wanting to hear about other methods that helped others in his situation with sleep apnea.

I also have suffered with sleep apnea to the point that I had some heart issues from it. I also tried the c-pap after a VERY expensive sleep study. What finally resolved the issue for me was the idea that it must have something to do with inflammation. I started using Curcumin Extreme, Serrapeptase Enzyme, and 6 electrically balanced digestive enzymes 5 times a day. The enzymes allowed my food to be digested properly and eventually helped resolve inflammation caused by undigested spicules in the blood that can be part of an inflammation issue. The Curcumin Extreme is the curcuminoids from the turmeric root that reduce inflammation and help auto immune disease. I also used a high quality Omega 3 Fatty Acid fish oil that is highy anti-inflammatory as well.

Not sure if it was one or the combination of all, but my apnea is not longer an issue.

The only issues I know of with CPAP machines are the noise, some condensation of the air line going to the mask, and the comfort of the mask itself. The only “natural cure” I am aware of is to lose weight, and that may or may not work.

No you need to go get the machine and get this treated before this gets serious. There are lots of different masks to choose from as well as nasal pillows which is what my husband chose to use.

I snore .How do I stop this? I know that it can be harmful. Is surgery the only answer. I tried some methods. But no luck. there’s got to be a way!

The nurse is wrong.

Snoring can be caused by many things.

I have found out that I have a condition called sleep apnea, this is causing problems in my marriage and also making me very depressed. for one I have no drive to do anything and I sleep almost all day possibly trying to make up for the lost of sleep from the night before. This has recently gotten this bad and now my husband has started complaining about the fact that all I do is sleep.I really hurts my feelings. I have no idea what is taking the doctors office so long to make me an appointment for a sleep study but I am trying to see if their is something that I can do in the mean time. Are their any thing I can buy that actually work I have tried the nasal strips and they are no good. what would be some good over the counter objects. I would like for both of us to have a good nights rest.

Sleep apnea can actually be very serious and I have lost patients and loved ones due to complications that arise from it. Nasal strips and mouth guards that you see on tv really can’t address the true problem and a machine called a C-Pap or Bi-Pap can help you so much by keeping your airway open helping you get more REM sleep, cutting down on snoring and movements throughout the night. Sleep apnea (and I am not trying to scare you) can be very serious since you actually stop breathing for a short time. The older you get the worse this condition can be and can also do lasting damage on your heart as it offsets your natural rhythms when you cease breathing for that split second. There are no proven over the counter drugs or aids that are really going to address the problem.

I definitely suggest a sleep study for your health as well as your relationship with your husband. The undue stress you are going through physically and emotionally is just not necessary when there is something that can be done.

they stop breathing,oxygen levels drop and blood pressures can go sky high. I haven’t heard of any drugs for it but an air machine forces air into your lungs at at times, allowing for constant breathing,

The guy I work for is 90 years old, his family doesnt want to “waste” the extra cash on him for the tests ect. He’s definately got sleep apnea ive seen it before. will Vervain help? any other natural treatments i can pay for outta my own pocket for him?
