Is my sleep apnea the reason that my husband and I cannot conceive?

My period has been non-existent for about a year now. We are not using any birth control (obviously). My doctor says it’s just because of my sleep apnea. I already have a son from a previous relationship. Any suggestions?
I have a CPAP machine and have had it for about a month now.
