Question by cheerdiva1987: Weight lose surgery ! My fiancé is 612 pounds and were wondering which surgery is better for him !?
He is not a diabetic, he does have mild high blood pressure , he has sleep apnea and uses a bi pap machine ! He has Medicare which there approving him for the lap band but I talked to some one who had the gastric and one had great out come and one had life threatening problems with it ! Any one have suggestions ?

Go for liposuction, 100 pounds at a time, and of course you will get doctors’ advice before he undertakes such a radical weight loss solution, as it can be dangerous.

Question by Mrs. Darcy: What can i do to make my sons sleep better until his adenoids are removed?
Hes getting his adenoids removed in a few days and its been a pain up until this point. he doesnt sleep, he stops breathing (he has severe sleep apnea) and i dont know how to make him more comfortble until the surgery. He wakes up all night crying in frustration due to his condition, and im just wondering will anything help relieve it?

It varies a lot. Generally the more severe the sleep apnea, the sooner you will feel better. Don’t give up though. Sometimes it takes a month or more of regular use before you can actually feel the difference.

Question by ashblonde73: I have just been told I have sleep apnea and received my cpap machine last night. I dont feel any better Help?
I also have to have oxygen hooked to my machine why do some people need oxygen and others don’t I am only 33 but yes I am overweight Does it get better

The oxygen will help you breath better. I know someone who uses a cpap machine, and they said it took a while to work, but that it works really good now, and helps them a lot.
