Question by maryannalpiche: Can I get paid for being a caregiver for my husband in Hawaii?
My husband has severe sleep apnea, high blood pressure, and needs to have lap band surgery. He can’t drive and we have two minor children who are still in school. I have a full time job and when I’m working I am always wondering what’s going on with my husband. I don’t like being stressed out everyday. Please Help me .

Contact your local welfare (Job and Family Services, Human Services) and talk to the Supervisor that is responsible for the Home Care Waiver program and she should be able to direct you in the right direction.

What if you have the prescribed cpap machine?

I have a pretty big belly up high between my rib cage,,is that causing me to test like it’s sleep apnea? My doctor sez there’s a 25% chance that it’s testing as sleep apnea.

I have sleep apnea (diagnosed in a sleep study). When I go to bed, I can fall asleep very quickly, but then I wake up. And after I wake up, then I can’t fall asleep again for a long time.

Does anyone else have this same problem? I can fall asleep very easily initially. But after I wake up again, then I have so much trouble sleeping.
