Question by marquez-martin@att.net: How many visits with an ENT is typical before they will possibly decide I need my tonsils removed.?
I am 23 years.old and have had reccurant ear infections and have been a snorer all of my life. When I was a child I had hearing problems because of the ear infections. I saw a specialist regularly and they always my parents that I would outgrow it. Obviously i have not and its become a huge problem in my life and it must run in my family because my dad also has sleep apnea. I know i need my tonsils removed and tubes in my ear. How long after you started seeing an ent did they actually remove yours?

I was directed to a surgeon by my family doctor and after the first visit we set up an appointment to get them removed. Although I ended up waiting 2 months they could have got me in within a week 2 at the most. Best of luck.

Question by douglas m: Loss of breath before sleep?
Right before my body falls asleep, I wake up gasping for air. It feels like I’ve not been breathing for some time and I sometimes struggle to regain my breath because of panic. This can happen several times before I actually “nod off”.
Also, while trying to sleep, sometimes I feel that my heart is racing and that a heart attack is lurking.
Im not sure if this is related, but sometimes when Im just chillin’ I feel like my eyes are going to pop and my head is going to explode (not because of anger or frustration either).
Does anyone experience any or alI of these symptoms? I feel that Sleep Apnea can be ruled out due to a lack of other symptoms.

I would say Sleep Apnea anyway. You need to go to a sleep disorder clinic and be tested.

I will think it sounds more like you mixed your days and nights a little. Some people sleep better in the early morning. It could be worse, because the world is, thus Menschen.Ich to say that many people with mental health problems to stay up late at night and sleep during the day.

My son is having trouble with his sleeping and I believe it might be sleep apnea. We will get him a sleep study soon but he is struggling to sleep at night and at times even has seizures in his sleep. He is on seizure medication, but I am starting to believe it may be more because of the sleep apnea. Are their any things we can do to help him sleep better at night, before our sleep study. I am not talking about the machines, just some tricks of the trade that may make him sleep better and then my wife and I can sleep better. He is only 4 and has all the signs of sleep apnea. We will not know this though for a little while until the study. Any ideas?
