Treatment
Treatment for adult OSA must depend on the individual’s current physical condition, medical condition, and pertinent test results. Behavioral, mechanical and surgical methods are the most common forms of treatment for sleep apnea in adults.
Behavioral Treatments
Individuals with sleep apnea are advised to avoid tobacco, alcohol, sedatives, and medications that relax the airway and/or compromise respiratory function. Regular exercise and weight reduction often help people with mild to moderate sleep apnea minimize their symptoms. Sleep apnea sufferers are also advised to avoid sleeping on their backs.

Hi,

Most of it is correct, so good job ;)
My version of it is as follows

Tratamiento:

Hope this helps :D

Painful recovery. I do have sleep apnea and am using a c-pap machine. Should I go through with the surgery or cancel?

Best answer:

Answer by TerriS
If you think it will help you, you should go through with it. Surgery is so much easier and more comfortable these days. You will be carefully monitored and because of patient consumerism, and research into pain, your comfort will be a high priority.

Question by ASHLEIGH P: does a cpap machine count as carry on baggage?
me and my husband are flying to hawaii to move there for the army and having to use continental and it’s our first time. i know we get 2 checked bags and one carry on and a personal item such as a purse. does a cpapa or sleep apnea machine count b/c it’s a medical machine and supply needed for health and if checked they will just toss it around.

Answer by Anthony N
I have one myself. Just call the airline and tell them the day before that you have one. Since it’s a medical device, you will be allowed an extra carry on and you will not be required to check it. Have a safe trip!

Question by Dezi: How much does it cost to fix sleep apnea in dogs?
Our 160lb Mastiff has sleep apnea, I couldn’t sleep and she was sleeping behind my legs and she stopped breathing for a good minute, I had to vigorously shake her in order to help her breath. I Read up that surgery is the only option for her. Does anyone have an idea of how much it costs? I know, I will call our vet, but I am looking for ideas. Ty in advance
She is not overweight, it isn’t humid or hot… She does snore very loud. She isn’t really active because she needs a hip replacement. ;(

Hell – I’d never heard of it.

I haven’t got a clue, but appreciate how worrying that would be for you.

Do hope you are able to get the operation done and she is fine.

Question by aggylu: Does anyone have a happily ever after story with their bipolar parent?
My mother was diagnosed as bipolar about 5 years ago, after I had been out of her home several years. Previous diagnoses include depression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, chronic insomnia, sleep apnea & hypoglycemia. She has visited half a dozen doctors to get these diagnoses. She continually cycles through taking medicine from 1 doctor as prescribed, to taking medicine from several docs who do not know she is doctor shopping, to all-herbal(and I mean like, 20 – 30 different supplements a day), to no medicine.
With each new diagnosis/treatment, she seems to believe that she has turned a corner. If I try to talk to her about behaviors that seem harmful, she becomes too tearful and sleepy to talk. Recently, she has done some very hurtful things. I’m beyond trying to confront her about it.
Does anyone have a similar situation that turned out well? I keep hoping for the best, but her behavior gets more erratic and hurtful as time goes by.

Umm if you mean will she be cured and live happily ever after know that it WILL NOT ever happen. her syptons can be controlled but she will not be cured there will always be problems though she can certainly live a normal stable happy life

Dont confront her about her behaviors shes bipolar and probably embarrassed by her own lack of control and you are certainly not helping
