It just takes time. I personally do not use, but not my brother, aunt, wife and sister in law. It just takes time and realize how much better you feel with him and health. It took my sister a few weeks before she stopped complaining:)

maybe you cold try laying down with it for..say..ten minutes each day, then when your ready increase it to half an hour a day or every other day until it dosen’t seem and issue when it comes to actually putting it on for the night. I think its just getting used to it on your face. I really wish you all the best with this one.

do you currently havea nose mask? If you are wakling up gasping and with a dry mouth it could mean you need a full face mask that covers your mouth and nose. Some people continue to breathe through their mouth even on their CPAP machine. If you are using a nose mask with your CPAP machine and you open your mouth all that pressurized air will leak out your mouth and not keep your airway open. You may also need a pressure adjustment. Mouth gasping on CPAP could mean your pressure is not set high enough to treat your apnea. Follow up with your home care provider.
