This is not sleep disorder. You sleep from 5 or 6 am till 5 pm!!! You sleep 12 hours a day! That’s not sleep disorder for sure! You already sleep too much, as much as a four year old baby!

And of course, when you wake up in the afternoon, you can’t feel sleepy at night!

Solution is not in going to bed earlier, but waking up earlier. You wake up one hour earlier every day. Never mind if you still go to bed at the same time the first few days, but soon, after shifting your wake up time, the sleep time will follow.

So today, what time did you wake up? Wake up one hour earlier tomorrow, and another hour earlier the following day, .. keep doing this no matter what. Till your sleeping time get fixed. Then, you only need 8 hours of sleep, and perhaps 9 in weekends.

You also need to have a healthy breakfast, and a light dinner. This also helps reorganizing your biological clock.

Most people without thinking are like NO if your under 18. To get you tired, hmmm. I go to that bed at that time too and have that problem so ill let you know what i do, first have the confidence for when you wanna do something youll change the habbit and yeah sure ill get to bed at 11. Also 1g of tylonol can be used as a one time thing (like for your camp). At 5 or 6 sometimes you still want to stay up longer dont you, pull a 24 hour and dont sleep untill the next night! Thatll set it straight. Then you can push it till 1 or whatever.

Also go on google maps and call a pharamist store near you and ask them. theyll tell you. dont mension the sleep disorder thing maybe but yeah call them up.

Sounds like Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. You’re basically a night owl, because your circadian rhythm is screwed up.

The circadian rhythm cycles around the presence of blue light in the light spectrum that enters the eyes. When the day is going, the sky is bright blue…which shuts off melatonin production and keeps us awake. When the sun goes down, the blue spectrum goes away, and we would normally see yellows and oranges left from the setting sun and fire/candle light.

Our modern technology throws a huge ole wrench in that by letting us have instant-on full-spectrum light. Light bulbs, TV/Computer monitors, etc.

So, step 1 … when night rolls around, cut out the blue light spectrum. You can do this by playing wiht your computer and tv to lower the blue setting. This will make ti look really yellow, so tweak it up some until you can stand it. Also, get a “bug” light from the store. These are yellow bulbs that don’t emit blue light, because bugs are attracted to blue light…thus these bulbs are generally used outside to prevent moths and such hovering around them. Install that bulb in a lamp you use in your room at night. The yellow light will remove blue spectrum.

Step 2 is to buy some melatonin…you can usually pick that up at wal-mart. Start with 1mg around 8pm. You should feel it kick in at around 9 or 10pm. It should make you a bit drowsy. As the blue light specturm goes away at night, the brain (pinneal gland, I think), ramps up melatonin production. So, taking this around 8pm mimics that. If 1mg doesn’t work, then try 2mg the next night. Keep ramping up the does 1mg each night until there’s a noticeable effect. You shouldn’t ahve to take more than 5mg or so.

What the regular, timed dose of melatonin does is reset your circadian rhythm. You should find that after a while you will get drowsy around 10pm even if you don’t take it. But, if you start to fall into a vampire/night owl schedule again, get back on the melatonin to correct your rhythm.

There is a medication that can help you, but first your having problems sleeping mainly because your not getting enough sunshine. The sun/ rays from the sun travel through your eyes into your pineal gland in your brain which helps regulate your sleep patterns. The pineal gland will excrete (let out) a natual substance called melatonin which helps your body to fall asleep. All you have done is messed up this cycle. Try to get outside more often and for the first week of trying to fix your sleep pattern you can buy melatonin tablets at any pharmacy or walmart etc. Get a low dose of it though because you are so young. 1-2 mg will help you fall asleep and stay asleep and wake up at a decent time

That sounds like one of the sleep disorders I have. It’s called phase delay, where you get your nights and days mixed up. What the doctors have told me, you have to gradually get your sleep times right by staying up during the day, for example: you normally go to bed at 5am, you stay up an extra hour or 2, go to sleep around 6 or 7am, then the next day you keep adding an hour or two until you fall asleep around 8,9 or 10pm. Also if you can get a light threapy box shine it near your face(not directly in your face), around 5 or 6am.
