CPAP machine. My Dr. told me that weight gain was a side affect of sleep apnea because of the stress hormone released when you brain has to constantly wake up all night. If you have the problem under control do you lose weight (with diet and excercise of course).

I’ve heard that does happen sometimes. Not always though. What is good news for some people though, is that when you lose weight, you will sometimes lose the apnea as well. Good luck, I hope it all works out well for you. PS-be certain you clean your CPAP properly, some people get really sick from the build up of fungi and bacteria in the mouth/nose piece.
