it seems as though my body forgets to breathe sometimes. my blood oxygen level will drop to the 70s if i don’t use oxygen. i sleep with a BiPap for the sleep apnea. additionally, the environment has to be extremely cool for me to be able to breathe comfortably. can someone tell me why i am having these issues?

Sleep apnea, its not that you forget to breath it is that there is obstruction in the airway causing you not to breath.Tissue in the back of you throat.mine is my tonsils ,they are so inlarged that when I lay down they cover my airway and I can breath with out my cpap machine,I could have surgery but I refuse to,but you can have surgery to remove tissue and tonsils that could help youbreath better,I am a co2 retainer and cant be put to sleep without being put on life support so I choose not to have the surgery unless emergency,so I use my cpap and also on oxygen.
