I started using my machine last night and I’m just wondering how long it usually takes before you could feel rested when you wake up.

My dad got one of those. He noticed an immediate difference. They night he got it was the best night’s sleep he had in years.

CPAP should give you relief in the first few days. It’s going to take your body a while to adjust to the normal levels of oxygen :)

Congratulations however. You’ve done your body a huge favor by starting CPAP. You’ve reduced your risk of heart disease, lung disease, and so much more!

You should notice difference quickly unless you just can’t get comfortable. I had problems getting a good mask fit. Making the mask tight made it worse but I had to switch to a different make of mask before I got my best sleep. (Resmed Ultra Mirage) I also had to add a humidifier because my sinuses got dried out. You also may have to change what position you sleep in — face down with a mask doesn’t work too well. The snoring stopped right away but sleeping with a mask and hose took some getting use to.

There are a lot of people who have gone through the process of becoming a “hose head” and you can learn from their experience. Good Luck!

it’ll take you at least a month to get used to it (like a habit), it’s just unnatural to have air blowing in your face, BUT make note when 2 months is up, you should feel better (less tired) & will probably sleep less but feel well rested,
    HANG IN THERE
if in 2 months you don’t feel better, call your doctor ASAP, because something is Wrong, maybe pressure or Leakage from your mask
