Can I do an online preliminary test?

I sleep for around 8 hours a night, but I often wake up tired and have to hit the snooze button for over half an hour, and then spend the rest of the day tired. I also make periodic limb movements during my sleep (so I’ve been told).

Thanks

You need to be examined by a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders. I can tell you this…I waited for years to do this, and I kick myself for waiting. Sleep apnea isn’t just about sleep, it affects your entire body. I strongly encourage you to seek medical attention on this.

You can go to a sleep clinic, they will moniter you and see how you sleep. If you have sleep apnea it can be a very serious condition that could result in death, please get this checked. they give you this machine called a bipap and i hear it makes such a tremendous improvement some people bring it on vacation and everything, their whole quality of life is better.

Sleep apnea is a serious problem that occurs in overwieght people or people with a problem with the soft palette in the upper throat. People with sleap apnea do wake up during the night as well as are tired during the day but these symptoms are also related to many other disorders. The best way to test it is to place a tape recorder at night next to you and record your sleeping sounds. if you have apnea it you will clearly hear it. A second test is if you sleep at a 45 deg angle and you feel better the next morning you can be sure you have apnea. Visit the Doc in any case.
    Good luck

Have a sleep test done. Sleep apnea is a serious problem, which can cause other serious problems. In some cases death. See your doctor right away. If you do have it, a docotor will have you use a c-pap machine. It takes a little getting used to but you will feel sooo much better. Good Luck
