    yep, as long as the eppiglotis is loose enough to flap on and off the airway as u sleep, causing u to snore w/o even knowing it.

    Yes, they can.
    There are two types of sleep apnea; central (in the brainstem) and obstructive.
    Obstructive sleep apnea, though relatively rare in thin people, can still happen because of pharyngeal wall hypermobility. It can also happen from having a too long soft palate (velum).
    Central sleep apnea is due to mixed signals in the brainstem and reduced respiratory drive during sleep.
    See a pulmonologist for a sleep study.
