One Response to “does sleep apnea have anything to do with being a denture wearer?”
  1. terry says:

When you have sleep apnea, you stop breathing while sleeping. Your dentures have the purpose to replace missing teeth, and have nothing to do with your upper airway obstruction.

I know that people with dentures are not used to having something in their mouth that is not food, and so their glands will produce more saliva and to secrete it at a higher rate. But I think this will not obstruct your airways in sleep.

If you have sleep apnea, then the cause is something else.
