My husband has just been diganois with sleep apnea. Now is on permanent Rear D and non deployable. I dont want him to be deployed, but my question is, will his career suffer in any way. He wants to retire from the military, but now we dont know what is going to happen. Help, please!

Wow! What courage to face so many uncertainties regarding your husband’s recent diagnosis and what effects it might have on his career.
I don’t know if this will work for you or not, but it has worked for thousands of other people and may offer your husband some relief and the possibility of maintaining his current post. All I know is that a friend of mine was diagnosed with sleep apnea a few years ago and was using a c-pap to breath at night. He started using Young Living Essential Oils and is now sleeping without out the use of the c-pap.
Have an awesome day!

My husband also has sleep apnea and uses a c-pap machine to help him breathe at night. It took him a couple of nights to get used to it, but he sleeps better, feels more rested, and even looks younger as a result. It hasn’t affected his career at all. And the huge benefit for me is that he isn’t snoring anymore so I’m sleeping better, too. Our insurance covered the cost of the c-pap machine. I’d highly recommend that you look into it.

that depends on alot..his condition,,age,,the way they feel about it..im apnea 2 Y’s now..i been threw too much…im on bi pap was cpap with settings at 16….the bi pap settings are 18/10…5 lpm of o2 at night only..depending on were hes deployed…he will have to use gear to sleep every night…i will say i think they wont alow him…cuz if apnea isint controld can slow thinking down and irritability ,,can cause the following,,high blood pressure,,strokes, organ damage, low or deprived o2…falling asleep during even talking during the day…
alot depends on the patient..now mine i never thought i was apnea…i had 200 apneas and 400 hypopneas….this doesent mean he will,..but the bad thing is that hes already been diagnosed with it..if its obstructive sleep apnea..theres a chance that loosing weight or oping the airways will work..but i thank there FULL OF BULL ON APNEA I THANK ONCE YOU HAVE IT YOU DO ALWAYS..i lost 65 pounds in 1 yr had a over niter test showed lower than before…so yes theres alot involed..i know in 1977,,they wouldnt take a friend of mine for brething problems…IF I WERE YOU WOULD CHECK WITH THE O BASE DOCTORS!!!
good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The retirement is a good option, but if we taking into account that sleep apnea can be treated as long as your husband has a treatment (CPAP for example), then I think is not going to happen.

Hi Diana,
Natural and holistic approaches are also excellent treatment methods for providing relief of sleep apnea. More and more people are exploring natural remedies and declining the use of allopathic medicines. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies help to improve symptoms but also address the individual’s overall physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Certain herbs such as Avena sativa, Scuttelaria laterifolia and Passiflora incarnata can safely be taken to treat chronic sleep problems and maintain healthy sleep patterns. In addition, a combination of herbs and sleep facilitating nutrients such as Hypericum perforatuma, Schizandra chinesis, Calcium lactate, Magnesium lactate and Vitamin B6 treats the underlying causes of sleep problems, balances serotonin levels naturally and induces a regular, satisfying sleep.
