Before even knowing my husband had sleep apnea he very odd/strange dreams as if he was a Indian or grizzly bear. After finding out about the sleep Apnea and getting the machine to help him breath at night,he does not have those dreams anymore. Has anyone had similar dreams like that and we were wondering why this happens is it lack of breathing air at night?

The opposite has happened to me. I don’t remember dreaming much before I got my cpap, and now I have vivid dreams.

I used to dream every night that someone was choking my throat. When I’d wake up the dream (actually a nightmare) would end. Now, I know it was all just due to the apnea episodes. I’ve been using a CPAP for 8 years and have never had that crazy nightmare or a panic attack since (fingers crossed). Since grizzly bears grunt a lot (and possibly indians too for all i know) it was probably his mind trying to make sense of why he was grunting a lot during sleep. He should also ask his doctor what his AHI number during his sleep study was. Anything over 30 is pretty bad.
