It’s the body’s natural defense alarm. It’s called fight or flight.
When cornered… one can fight or run, either one takes adrenaline and this potent stuff can keep your mind ticking away for hours! That’s the physiological response.
The psychological response is worry…. try to make the problem or source of it easier to tolerate so we aren’t afraid.
We ‘intelligent’ knuckle draggers don’t like the unknown. We have to have control on our realities that we design for ourselves everyday, or we stay on alert.
Some people (twisted) like to use this natural instinct to make other peoples lives miserable or to manipulate them for their personal gain over them.
(our government is brilliant at it)!!!

Simple, some thought can cause physical anxiety. Anger before a fight causes adrenalin, and so does some athletic emotions. Adrenalin, of course, raises blood pressure and heart rate, and sleep is the resting of both.
So, being upset causes varying degrees of emotional anxiety, depending on the cause. Being upset about a matter increases the amount of thoughts that you are thinking, and sleep usually occurs after the body has winded down.
There’s no real way around it. If you own your own business, you can avoid listening to the answering machine/voicemail right before bed. You might avoid watching the news right before bed. Avoid anything that can make you depressed. Still, we can’t avoid everything. I hate hearing bad news right before I try to sleep, or right as I’m eating, or right before or during work, because you just have to work through it under those circumstances.

I believe it is because you cannot stop thinking about what is upsetting you. in order to sleep you must quiet your mind and relax. I cannot do that when I am upset my adrenaline is up and I am emotionally wired. I go over the problem over and over. It is really strange because I finally start falling asleep about a half hour before I am supposed to get up and start the day

Because your brain is on a constant “loop”. Your head just keeps playing it back…over and over. It wont stop because the reason for your “upset’ is still present. Most of the time….it is just silly things…that in 5 years time ….you will not even recall. And even if you DO…in those 5 years …you will not care so much…

When people get upset their bodies usually get tense and when this happens your brain receives this signal and tries to fix the problem. So even though your emotionally exhausted , your mind is wide awake making you restless. Which in turn keeps you from allowing your body to completely relax enough to go to sleep. I got into a disagreement earlier tonight when I was trying to solve an issue I had with an executive member or our volunteer organization. The way he reacted upset a lot of the people, but it didn’t bother me because I knew he would act that way ….lol…childish behavior and lack of respect for his peers was one of the reasons I addressed him in the first place. The Reaction by the others after he resigned and left is what got my self upset. All these people had an issue with him but because I wrote a letter generalizing all these issues they were still upset by his reaction when they should have seen it coming. So it is now 2:59 a.m. and I am no where close to falling asleep. Stress will make your body react in many different ways. So next time you feel your self tensing up just take some deep breaths and ask yourself if you want to have another sleepless night…Good Luck

When you are upset… or feeling depressed.. you are under stress… Your brain is not at rest.. and you think all the time involuntarily.. so your brain activities increases… therefore you will not be able to sleep…
Typically people take depression pills or sleeping pill to get you to sleep easier. This basically lower your brain activities.. and slows down your thinking process and relax your mind and slowly you will fall asleep.
Drinking beer has about the same effect.. hoever it must not be taken too excessively. Usually one can or two of Tiger beer will be able to relax your brain..
take care..
