Night terrors have been confirmed to run in families, especially boys and should disappear by age five. In rare cases, girls and adults may suffer with this disorder. Of course, if there is a persistence of this sleeping disorder beyond the age of five, psychological counseling, or therapy should be considered.

One Response to “Is The Sleep Disorder “sleep Terror/night Terror” Hereditary?”
  1. lilmissm says:

Yes, they can be hereditary., but anyone can have one.
Some families have a tendency to sleep deep. During this phase you can travel astrally. If you wake during this travel period you can have a panic attack or night terror. You will feel unconnected to your body and may be having an out of body experience.
Now, the good news is we all have out of body experiences when we sleep. It is normal but many people do not remember the experience. Our souls unconnect from out physical bodies for short periods of time. We travel to other times and places and to heaven to visit relatives, friends, and our pets. It is a good thing.
The bad part if the terror from waking up before your soul enters your body.
