I envy you - I have quite the opposite condition - I have such bad sleeping habits that I can hardly get up, but this is because I can't sleep. Now I have accepted this - I have had it all my life, reading in bed late then sleeping in. I believe its physycological now and just stay up so this is now my regular pattern - never varies. You just happen to be one of those lucky people whose brain knows exactly how much sleep you need of not you would feel knackered all the time. I believe this happens as one gets older if you don't mind me saying this without knowing your age, but if you want to stay in your bed watch telly, or read a good book, may get a lie in, but I still consider you lucky. Another thing, late nights and boozing perhaps just feel worse if you sleep in - done it myself. Good luck. As long as you are otherwise healthy don't worry pet . Luv Cammie

Tox, the older you get, the less sleep you need. You're just getting older, I suspect, and you don't have a sleeping disorder. If you're working and having to get up early every weekday, your body and mind have adjusted to this schedule and still think they need to get up early.

Your body doesn't need anymore sleep. Sleep patterns differ from person to person. I, myself need 11 hours, and my husband sleeps 4 to 5 hours. Not too worry, you're fine.

you need an ordered and regular bedtime routine. Your body clock is set to wake up alright, but a bedtime routine will help your body learn to go to sleep at a decent hour. Like, no stimulation thirty minutes before bedtime,no tv, no computer, just like a good book or soothing music for thirty minutes before bedtime, and keep the bedtime stable too.
