Practice sleeping 8 hours. If you wake up after 5 hours then try to go back to bed and sleep another 3 hours.
If you sleep after 2 am currently, then try to slowly go to bed earlier time… like 1 am, next day 12 am next day 11.30pm

    On the person probably.

What a fun question to ask in the middle of the night. :)
Mine is developed. You really should be getting more sleep. You need sleep to grow and rejuvenate. Perhaps you should see a doctor. Ambien is non-habit forming and I feel good in the morning, after taking it.

I don’t know about insomnia being a biological disorder but I know that exposure to the sun at least 20minutes a day can regulate your melatonin which is our sleep hormone. Our God given sun regulates our sleeping pattern. What I think is adding up to your predicament is the comment of your mother that you “despised going to sleep before 2am”. You are accepting it as gospel truth, it’s in your mind and so what you think, you create. Your mind is telling your body that you have a hard time sleeping and so you do. Sorry but what am saying here is that much of it can also be your mind control. Instead, try thinking of how sleepy you are, sleep at the same time each night (before 11pm is suggested), say the rosary (if you are a Roman Catholic) or read the bible, no TV, get some music for relaxation, classical music is best; monitor your coffee intake — then adjust like maybe no coffee or softdrinks or sugary foods after lunch; no protein at dinner (takes time for the body to digest). There are a lot actually that you can do. Try surfing for sleeping disorder.. maybe you’ll find more answers, these are just some. At 11pm, our body starts to detoxify until 1am, and usually, if we are not sleeping yet at this time, we get a second wind and so feel sleepy by 2am. You are still very young. It’s good that you are seeking advice while still young and you should really be sleeping 10 hours a night. Give it a try. And another thing, after a sun exposure in the morning, don’t take a bath with soap at the later part of the day coz otherwise, your natural Vitamin D will just be washed away. It takes four hours for your body’s oil to make Vitamin D and it takes another four hours for your body to absorb it.
