Can Drinking Too Much For Days In A Row Disturb Ur Sleep Afterward?

like cause twitching, itching and just disturbed patterns? Does stress make it worse? This is happened a few times before, not often, but it does. Is it possibly a sleep disorder symptoms?

Yep, sure can. Alcohol—even in SMALL amounts consumed ON OCCASION—dehydrates the body!
Google : “Dehydration + alcohol consumption” and read up on all the damage alcohol does to your body.
We think it’s fun, it makes us feel great, etc, but it drains your body, especially of water, and stresses every organ and cell in your body.
Even mild dehydration in winter, not just in summer, can cause electrolyte imbalance, dizziness, sleep disturbances, headaches, muscles aches, sick feeling, irritabilty, anxiety, etc…
The itching and twitching could be caused by the salt and electrolyte imbalance, as well as just the stress that alcohol puts on every organ of the body.
If you MUST drink to excess, at least do yourself a favor by following it up with the equivalent of water–or as much water as you can safely tolerate. FORGET GATORADE or anything other than just plain water, which is best for re-hydrating.
Sip the water right after drinking, as soon as you go to bed (or just before passing out!), as soon as you get up the next morning, and then throughout the next day or two afterward. Don’t guzzle the water, just sip it, but sip a lot of it over time.
My best advice:
Seriously consider cutting way back on your drinking, unless you want to wind up with a damaged body later in life!

Indeed. Alcohol is poison, it interrupts the salt balances in your body as well , especially if on a binge of sorts. So twitching, itching, and disturbed circadian rhythms are just a few of the potential problems. The sleep you do acquire while intoxicated is but a mere joke compared to non inebriated sleep. You usually don’t pass phase III while heavily intoxicated, so the restorative sleep doesn’t get accomplished.
The alcohol actually makes stress worse. Believe it or not, it might seem that all that drinking would take your problems away, but it makes them worse in the long run.
Also, general stress will make any sleep problems you are experiencing worse. So it is a cycle, and compounded.
I wouldn’t consider it a sleep disorder, until you stop drinking.. get clean and sober — and then allow a normal sleep cycle to persist for a few weeks. If then you still have problems.. a sleep disorder might be considered.

if you go on benders and think it won’t affect you down the road? you are wrong. Of course drinking too much for days in a row will disturb your sleep cycles, as well as every other functioning system you have. Lay off the sauce.

Yes, alcohol changes the quality of sleep and this may take some days to wear off
