Pregnant/anxiety Disorder And Sleep All The Time.?
Posted by: Alan in Sleep Disorder, tags: Disorder, Pregnant/anxiety, Sleep, Time
I am 17 weeks pregnant and suffer from an anxiety disorder. I go to bed around 11PM and wake up around 11 or 12 the next morning. And sometimes take a nap. Im getting worried because yesterday I did a lot of running around and was out in the heat a lot and fell asleep around 9PM woke up at 1:45PM today and now 2 hours later feel like I could go to sleep again. What should I do?!

sleep as much as you can, your body wants to do it for some reason… JUST make sure you are getting exercise while you are awake… walk, pregnancy yoga, whatever you can do to keep your blood flowing and heart healthy. ALSO eat as well as possible, and drink lots of water, should help give you good energy.

I have the opposite problem with pregnancy, in that I find it hard to sleep and therefore end up feeling very tired at work.
Your body is obviously needing it.
But my bestfriend would sleep around the clock like you – she’s had 2 healthy babies. It’s just what her body needs and is telling her to do.
I’d say take advantage and enjoy your slumber now

Are you on meds for your anxiety? I have the same problem mine is panic/anxiety, and I notice when I take something for anxiety it makes me more sleepy. Your hormones change so much when you’re pregnant, so sleeping more may be good, at least you’re not anxious, which I find worse. I would talk to your Dr. about it though.
