So Im a night person so I don’t go to bed till around one in the morning. When I finally fall asleep I’ll sleep for about two hours before I wake up thinking Im somewhere different. I wake up thinking Im at work, or at school or driving my car. Half of me knows that Im in my room but the other half thinks Im elsewhere. So every night I’ll get out of bed and go about doing things as if I was at work, school, or driving my car. It is so strange because i know Im doing it but I don’t at the same time. I never really know how long I stand up and do the stuff for but I know it must be awhile because in the morning Im exhausted. Is this insomnia or another type of sleep disorder? What are your recommendations for helping me sleep better without waking up and thinking im somewhere else?

One Response to “Is This Insomnia Or Another Kind Of Sleep Disorder?”

I had the same situation as you do. Sometimes, I can’t sleep and stay up all night til 6 in the morning or noon. My mind tended to wonder off and recap everything what I’ve done in today or will do tomorrow.
What I’ve been told to do is change my daily routine.
I start to play some tennis or any other exercises which tired my body.
I also laid off some bad habit such as eating snack at night and drink milk before I go to bed which milk are good for you. =D
“Dairy foods contain tryptophan, which is a sleep-promoting substance. Other tryptophan-containing foods include poultry, bananas, oats, and honey.”
