    i dont think its a disorder but actually the recomended amount is what 7-8hrs i get if i am lucky 2-3. Mostly because i have **** on my mind and i am relaxing and thats when it all hits me

    Yes probably depression or maybe something affecting you. The fact is you dont NEED that much sleep, sorry for the caps. Wake yourself up and do something it will make you feel better. Maybe if you go outside and see the outdoors. Please get help is only gets worse

    Yeah I sleep something like that. I mostly sleep 10 hrs a day but I can go to sleep at 7 pm and wake up till 2 o clock the next day and even after I sleep all of that I wake up tired. I’m starting to think it’s because I’m in college and it’s very stressing.

    i don’t think so because during holidays i sleep up to 13 hours and during school week i only get around 7 hours of sleep , i feel tired but i can still make it through the day…

    Yes, unless you are a teenager or still quite young, though I was in my present job when I was 21 and couldn’t even comprehend doing this unless it was the weekend. If this is the case then you are probably normal. If this is a new thing and you are normally sleeping the normal amount of hours then you should go and see your doctor as they may be able to run some tests to see what is wrong. I’d love to be able to sleep that long but then I would have to leave work dead on time and then speed to get home and rush straight to bed without eating dinner, relaxing nor walking the dog and feeding the bird.

    If I don’t set an alarm that annoying enough to shock me awake I will sleep 12 – 14 hours at a time…
    On weekends I have even slept from midnight to 5:00 pm!
    I think it is a combo of Depression/BPD, chronic physical pain, and chronic stress.
    Unless I get a good 12 hours I need to use stimulents like caffieen and ephedrine to get motivated enough to actually do anything productive durring the day… But with the stimulents and mental illness I sometimes get “Brain Fog” that makes me pretty useless…
    I wish someone knew how to “Fix” this… Right now the Apathy and sleepiness is killing me and destroying my life alsmost as much as my bad hip!

    no young ppl (eg teenagers) need more sleep an r medically meant to have at least 12hours sleep every nit

    no you dont have a sleeping disorder since the recommended sleep time for adults is atleast 8 hours so i wouldnt worry even if you thought you are sleeping too much, 12 hours is actually pretty good
