You do not go to an Internist, certainly not a pharmacist. An Internist in a general practice does not conduct sleep clinics. A pharmacist despenses medication. As far as hospitals, doubtful. In 30 years of practice, I've not seen nor heard of one in that setting. Look under sleep centers or sleep disorders. These should be listed under PSYCHOLOGISTS in the yellow pages. There are psychologists who specialize in sleep disorders, exclusively. In other words, this is all they do. I would ask to visit their facility. Just check it out, and see how comfortable you are. They should be more than happy to accommodate you. Hopefully, you have good insurance. These studies can be long and complicated. Good Luck. Also, be careful of what you ask in this catagory.
