I Believe I Might Have A Sleeping Disorder?
Posted by: Alan in Sleep Disorder, tags: Believe, Disorder, Have, Might, Sleeping
Every night I feel as though I must preoccupy myself to do a number of useless things before I go to sleep. On average I get about 5 hours asleep per night. In the morning, I feel extremely drowsy. Before I sleep, my body is telling me to go to sleep but when I lay down, I can’t . I feel stressed out, and paranoid. Can I possibly have a sleeping disorder of some sort?
I am currently not taking medication.

First of all, no napping during the day! The bed is only for sleeping. Not for reading, studying, TV, computer, nothing!
Have you tried drinking warm milk before bed? (You can add honey to taste.) I promise you, it helps millions of people, because it has tryptophan, (the same stuff as turkey.)
If warm milk doesn’t help, please try the vitamin Melatonin. It’s sold anywhere they sell vitamins and is so safe! 3Mg’s before bed should knock you out. I’m so glad you’re not taking any over the counter medications. They are so addictive and dangerous.
5 hours is not enough sleep for you. If nothing I said helps, please see your doctor. There IS help for you. You are not alone, Sweetie.
Bless you and good luck!

It’s more likely that you have poor sleep hygiene. That’s actually the term. Wierd, right? There’s places you can read the do’s and don’ts of falling asleep. Bascially, you need to try and arrange to do nothing for the last few hours of the bed. Ok, don’t do anything that gets your heart rate pumping or stresses you out. Try not to eat much before bed.
Try a hot bath before bed? Try laying on the couch and watching TV before bed or something?
DOn’t forget you need like 8 hrs sleep
