Very Large Nasal Polyps For Last 40 Years Am 52 Yrs Now Polyps Size Highly Increased Breathing Problem What?

I have avery large nasal polyps for the last 40 years.I was operated then but only my septim was scrapped and ultimately it collapsed in the middle. There is a big hole in the septum now, & the polyps push through the hole and block my entire nose tightly. No amount of nasal drops have any effect now. I also have obstructive sleep apnea, I am suffering terribly. What shall I do? I also suffer from hypertention(high blood pressure). I am not a diabetic. Am I a fit candidate for surgery? Is there any other way of removing the polyps? Please help.

this can turn very serious for you due to your sleep apnea. I don’t mean to frighten you but you can have a heart attack or stroke due to the apnea.Sleep on your side until you get to see an excellent surgeon especially if you have a big belly (not joking).
There should be no problem in getting surgery….Apollo hospitals are very good in India try them for referral as well.
But get an appointment right away. Make sure you are taking your meds for hypertension regularly and check you BP regularly so that its under control.

I dont know where you live but come to Baltimore, Johns Hopkins Hospital (the best in the world) and get the head of the ENT to deal with it.

Wow…I would suggest getting some urgent help, in any big good Hospital near u, and yeah I think they would have to operate…but act fast !!!

That must be some kind of congenital defect. That is a very serious case and you need urgnt help. The doctor might consider surgery to be the first line option. Man you must consider consulting your doctor, that may lead to obstruction that could eventually can lead to dyspnea(difficulty breathing. ZYour body might not get enough oxygen which could lead to serious complications. It is eally urgent to see your doctor, tumors might also be present (i sure pray there isn’t)… For your high blood pressure, just avoid all possible stressors that could precipitate its occurence.
